How to Create Individual Graduation Party Cakes

Hosting a graduation party? Individual graduation party cakes are a fun addition to the party. Instead of doing a traditional graduation cake, a friend of mine did graduation individual party cakes for her son's graduation party.
It was really nice that they were on a platter and everyone could just help themselves to one of the graduation individual party cakes. There was no mess of a big cake and having to pre-slice a cake or have guests fumble with cutting their own pieces.
What Type of Cake to Use When I asked her about what type of cake to use, my friend said that she just used the standard yellow cake mixes. It took her about three hours to put together all of the graduation individual party cakes and saved her a ton of money. Not only that, but they looked great and were a big hit at the party.
What to Decorate the Cakes With My friend just put the number 07 on the graduation individual party cakes for the decoration. They looked adorable and everyone seemed to really enjoy them. You can also put the initials of the graduating teen.
You can decorate with flowers, ribbons or even little miniature graduation figurines. Let your imagination go wild. How to Bake the Individual Graduation Cakes As my friend did, purchase several boxes of either yellow or white cake mix.
Follow the box instructions and bake sheet cakes out of them. Put in the freezer for a bit to let them get slightly hard. Then you can use a clean cup towel to dust off any of the cake crumbs.
After the cakes are cooled and dusted, spread a thin layer of white icing on the cakes. Put back in the freezer for the icing to harden.
How to Cut the Individual Graduation Cakes My friend used several graduation hat cookie cutters. She just lined them up for each row and cut. Then she placed each of the graduation individual party cakes on a platter to finish decorating. She put the numbers 07 on hers. They were then ready to serve and for everyone to enjoy.
The extra cake pieces she set aside and later added to a pudding recipe that she had. You can really do anything that you want with the extra cake pieces that are left. If you line them up closely, you shouldn't have too much left over.
